Born in Italy on her parent's honeymoon, she was unexpected pregnancy. During her pregnancy, Tomi's mother, Giovanna, had no idea she was pregnant with their first child. It was definitely a surprise to both parents since neither had no clue what was going on. After finishing their honeymoon, the newlyweds moved back to Japan where Hitomi's father, Izanagi, was the CEO of Murasaki Inc. and Murasaki Assoc.---a company that helps develop new technological advances for video games and supplies fabrics for fashion designers. Since being born in Italy, it makes Hitomi half Japanese and Italian. Although loving his daughter very much, Hitomi's father is scared of letting his daughter become the CEO of both his companies from her stranger heritage.

By the time Hitomi had started fourth grade, her mother had given birth to three younger siblings. As the children started to grow, it seemed that her father had to go into work much more often. That meant her mother was left alone at the mansion to take care of the children which soon took a tole on Giovanna's health. Instead of having the servants staff help her, Giovanna wanted to raise her children by her own standards claiming, “nobody should raise a child besides the parents themselves.” After Tomi's 11^th birthday, the young brunette caught her father with another woman. Needless to say, Hitomi was hurt and angered at her father for tearing their family apart.

After Hitomi's father filed for divorced, it wasn't long before he kicked his ex wife out of the house and allowed his new lover to move in. Tomi was heartbroken by the fact she wasn't able to see her mother everyday. So, she complained to her father for weeks to let her see her mother. Tired of his daughter's complaining, he decided to allow his children to have weekly visits to see their mother. Needless to say, it was one of the few times Tomi was truly happy from all the events that occured recently towards her family. As Hitomi started high school, her father decided to enroll her in Ouran Academy because he wanted his daughter to have the best education. Half of it was also because he had to keep the family's reputation in hold as well.

Soon into her first year of high school, Tomi learned of her father's engagement to his mistress. Being outraged by the news, the young female decided she was going to move in with her mother and disown all family inheritance he father decided to give her. She wanted nothing to do with her father and her soon to be stepmother. After moving in with mother, Hitomi realized that her mother's health had drastically gone down hill after the divorce was finalized. To pull her weight of the deal, Tomi took on four jobs in hopes of paying the bills and helping her mother watch her younger siblings on the weekends. Trying to make easier for her mother in any possibly shape—although it put a lot more stress on the young female she wouldn't have it any other way.

Corey has two scars on her body. The first is a small scar on her neck from where she was being held captive by another pirate crew and they put a knife to her throat, leaving a nasty scar behind. The second scar is a long gash that ranges from her shoulder blade all the way down to right below her back. It was from a duel with one of the fellow pirates of Hook's crew who challenged her claiming “she was nothing more than a wench who should be used for sexual favors” Needless to say, he was wounded pretty badly with no more of his prize manhood left when she was finished with him. However, that didn't stop him from getting one of his own scars left on the young auburn haired female.

At at young age, Coriander was a carefree, troublesome young girl who loved nothing but imagining of exotic places where she battled fearsome creatures. Unlike most girls her age, the young redhead always had an adventurous side and that was just one of the many things her father adored about her. Although she may act like a man at times, Coriander still uses her manners as she raised to be a proper lady. Coriander can be seen like a dog in some senses because she's very loyal to the ones she loves or respect—and in other ways, like the way she doesn't listen to anybody opinions and goes on her judgment first. The phrase 'stubborn as a mule' applies to Coriander in every way.

She's very hardheaded and has a bad habit of not listening to what other people have to say. Like most stereotypical redheads, she has a short temper and isn't afraid to show her sailor mouth—a habit she caught from being aboard the Jolly Rodger. Other than that, Coriander is a carefree, outgoing young lady that loves nothing but traveling to foreign lands and cooking food.

After Coriander’s mothers death, her father was devastated that his late love has passed away. For awhile, he barely even spoke to his daughter and isolated himself in his room for majority of the time. However, eventually her father realizes that he can't spend the rest of his day mopping and decides to be there for his only child. And that's exactly what he does. A few years after her mother's death, Coriander and her father relationship is at its strongest and they two had an inseparable bond that nobody could break.

Although Coriander's father loved his daughter to bits, he knew that their was a void of a mother that he could never fill—but he knew somebody could. As he was trying to find a suitable match as a wife, Coriander couldn't help but feel it was unnecessary for him to do this because she already felt that she had what she needed. After months of searching, her father thought he found the ideal wife, a young Puritan woman who had a daughter—he thought it would be perfect for Coriander to make new friends. However, boy did he know how to pick them!

Instead of having the ideal family for his daughter, Coriander's father brought practically a demon the house—or that's at least what Coriander referred to stepmother as. Her stepmother had changed everything in the house from top to bottom and infuriated to Coriander to the very end. She didn't like the fact that her stepmother was ruining everything that she had left of her mother's memories. In fact, she wanted something to be done about it but she knew her father was not the type to do it so.

But at least she still had a pair of sliver shoes that left the memory of the pointless arguments she and her mother had gotten into about her being able to keep them—since they'd come from an anonymous source. After Coriander's stepmother brought an unexpected visitor into the house uninvited, her father couldn’t stand for any more of this so he told her that he wanted a divorce.

Trying to avoid all of her scandals coming out in the open, she conciliates with the new visitor—whom Coriander found out was a preacher that used horrible methods..things that would scar people for the rest of their lives. She learned from overhearing a conversation between the maids on how terrified they were.

Scared of her own life and belongings, Coriander decided that she was going to hide something that was precious to her. It was a doll that her mother gave her when she was born and she's had it ever since. Deciding her best bet would be to hide it in a cupboard in the kitchen, she knew that her stepmother would never look there and it was safest place she could think of. Unfortunately the young girl was wrong, her stepmother found the doll and she was beyond furious at her.

Though, Coriander didn't understand how that made so furious but it could also be the fact that she was still a child. Being tired of her stepdaughter's foolish ways, her wicked stepmother decided to make a drastic decision that she could take back. Now Coriander knew that her stepmother was pure evil, but even she didn't expect for her to escalate to this .Grabbing a chest from the attic, Coriander's stepmother dragged it the bottom of the stairs and decided to wait until the young child fell asleep.

After falling asleep, her stepmother silently crept into her room as hoping not to wake her. Hovering over her body, she pulled a potato sack from behind her figure and smothered it on Coriander's face. Waking up from the sudden impact, she could barely breath but that didn't stop her from struggling. However, her stepmother was too strong for her and she became unconscious.

Grinning wickedly a her success, she dragged her stepdaughter's unconscious body down the stairs and into the empty chest. The evil stepmother locked it making sure that Coriander wouldn't be able to escape. Telling the maid to bring the chest to attic, Coriander's stepmother didn't give a second thought about the matter and thought it be better to leave the little girl left for dead.

Waking up from her unconscious state, Coriander awoke in a strange land that she'd never seen. It was as if she was in a strange dream-like realm. Surely, the child was dreaming and all she had to do was wake up bake home.

But she wasn't dreaming, this was actually real. Walking around the island, she couldn't help but wonder where she was. Realizing that she was thirsty, she reached down to get something to drink of water but jumped at her reflection. Coriander couldn't believe her eyes..she wasn't the young girl now but she'd transformed into a young woman. Taken back by new appearance., now there was something weird about this new land.

Trying to calm her nerves, Coriander decided it would be best to explore this new land in hopes of finding a bloody way off of this island. As she made her way into the dense jungle, she couldn't help but feel like she was being watched. However, it was only her paranoia. Going further into the forest, the young redhead stumbled upon a band of pirates. Trying to hide behind a tree from them, she was met with a blade pointing towards her throat.

Showing no fear, she know that she had to get back home so she could get her revenge on her stepmother and free her father from jail Coming face to face with infamous Captain Hook, Coriander stood her ground showing no fear to the ruthless pirate captain.

Questioning the captain, she tried to figure out where she was. But unfortunately, she wasn't get an answer out of the pirate captain and it pissed off to the core. Of course, her short temper got the best of her and she went off on the attractive pirate. Not knowing where to go, Coriander practically begged to join his crew because she had to way to get off the wretched island.

After constant pleas, Hook let her join the crew—however, the young female believed it was because she was annoying him. Glad that she'd finally have a way to the place she learned was called Neverland, she joined the crew aboard the Jolly Rodger and tried to plot her revenge against her stepmother. A few months aboard the Jolly Rodger, Coriander and the young captain became very close.

And since half of the crew couldn't pronounce her first name, she shortened it to Corey to help them pronounce it better. However, she decided that she'd stay loyal to her captain to the very end. But truly the only thing that mattered to the young female was getting revenge on her stepmother, breaking her father from jail, and returning to her life in London.

Coriander's trip to Storybrooke is considered somewhat of a mystery to everyone besides her. After constant journeys with the Hook, the young female couldn't help but fall for the charm as every woman had before her. However, she wasn't going to deal with the pain of loving someone who only saw her as a simple child. She felt that the only thing that could be done about this was taking her life—now she wasn't thinking rationally since she'd already drunk two bottles of rum.

So walking up to the front deck, she jumped off the ship without a second thought. Hitting the water with such force, she was unconscious before she even knew what was happening. She awoke with a pounding headache and again in another foreign lands. Now Coriander didn't understand how she could magically appear from land to another. Now she wasn't a mermaid, it was probably her bad luck coming to her.

Absently she walked around the beach, she was hoping to find someone or anyone to tell her where she was. Coming across a man with a dog, she asked him where she was. Finding out she was in a town called Storybrooke, Coriander found out she was speaking to Jiminy Cricket.

Deciding it would best to create a new identity—she didn't think people would take to kindly to know a new stranger was a crew member to Captain Hook—so she said that she was maid in Cinderella's castle named Delilah Spencer. Although she had to keep her true life a secret, “Delilah” decided to start a new life in the new town where she could forget about all her worries.

This was a new beginning for Coriander..though she felt like a coward for abandoning the ones she loves but she had to put herself first, right? Although she was fighting her inner demons, Eli knew that she was doing what was best for her. She even found a job helping local town's cannery. Even though it wasn't her ideal job, she gets works near the water which she couldn't enjoy more. But Coriander accepted her new life..even though it still takes her one day at a time.
